Intended Use

Laboratory spectrometers are used for qualitative and quantitative analysis of samples of various technological environments at nuclear power plants, environmental samples, food and other products subject to radiation control (including mineral fertilizers, building materials, pharmaceuticals, medicines, ceramics, timber, toys, animal feed etc.), as well as for radiation monitoring, control of technological processes and radiation contamination.

Industries
  • Nuclear energy
  • Environmental monitoring
  • Product certification

Operation principle

Spectrometers record radiation emitted by the sample, analyze the obtained data, identify radionuclides and calculate activities of these radionuclides.

Application

  • Laboratories of external dosimetry services, various environmental services, radiological laboratories of the State Sanitary and Epidemiological Supervision, veterinary and agricultural services – to control environmental samples for gamma-emitting radionuclides
  • Radiochemical laboratories – to control technological processes
  • Nuclear physics centers – for research in various areas of fundamental and applied physics

Certification

All spectrometers are approved measuring instruments, have a declaration of conformity with the requirements of the technical regulations of the Customs Union TP TC 004/2011 and TR CU 020/2011.
