The company started with production of complete spectrometers to be supplied to Sanitary and Epidemiological Services in the areas affected by the Chernobyl disaster. Among our first customers we were proud to have the Nuclear Test Control Service, for whom ASPECT developed and produced a unique device to detect and identify isotopes specific for nuclear explosions. The mid 1990s saw the beginning of our ongoing cooperation with the Preparatory Commission for the Comprehensive Nuclear-Test-Ban Treaty Organization based in Vienna unauthorized usage. In 1995 the Russian Customs State Committee was assigned with a task to supervise fissile and radioactive materials crossing the Russian borders and customs checkpoints, which was followed by comparative tests attended by several Russian vendors including SPC ASPECT. The tests were aimed at studying of technical capabilities in that area, and upon their completion SPC ASPECT solutions were declared as the most promising. After a while, SPC ASPECT became the major supplier of radiation monitoring integrated systems to the Russian customs check points.<\/h6><\/header>[vc_empty_space height=”40px”][vc_single_image image=”9251″ img_size=”” alignment=”center”][vc_empty_space height=”40px”]<\/h2>Another large and important step in the history of our company became development and supplies of radiation monitoring equipment to the first and second block of the Taywan Nuclear Power Plant in China, which has been constructed under the Russian-Chinese intergovernmental agreement since 1997. The experience gained became a starting point for development of one of our major activities, that is development and supply of radiation monitoring equipment to nuclear power plants complying with their strict requirements to equipment sensitivity and reliability. The beginning of the new millennium was marked by an increasing number of acts of unlawful interference throughout the world causing concerns of many governments followed by efforts to develop ways of prevention and response. In 2010 Russia started its Complex Public Transport Security Programme, which also included radiation security measures in transportation facilities and crowded public areas.
