Completion of the project at Tan Son Nhat Airport (Vietnam)
JSC SPC ASPECT has completed installation of the radiation monitoring equipment at Tan Son Nhat International Airport (Vietnam) within the framework of the Nuclear Security Project in cooperation with the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA).
The newly installed equipment was successfully integrated with the Vietnam Integrated Nuclear Security Network that already included Yantar Radiation Portal Monitors installed earlier.
The first radiation monitoring system included 4 radiation portal monitors and was officially put into operation at Terminal T1 of Noi Bai International Airport in 2013, and four more RPMs were added to maximize the ability to detect and prevent illegal transportation of nuclear and other radioactive materials.
High efficiency demonstrated by the installed radiation monitoring system prompted its further extension to include six more radiation portal monitors at Tan Son Nhat International Arrivals Area.
